SST/ GEL VACUTAINERS SHOULD BE CENTRIFUGED WITHIN 1-2 HOURS OF SAMPLE COLLECTION. RED TOP TUBES SHOULD BE CENTRIFUGED AND ALIQUOTED WITHIN 1-2 HOURS OF COLLECTION. BILIRUBIN IS PHOTOSENSITIVE AND SAMPLES SHOULD BE KEPT AWAY FROM DIRECT SUNLIGHT.

ANALYTE SPECIFIC AGE AND GENDER APPROPRIATE VALUES ARE PROVIDED ON THE REPORT.

Test Limitations / Confounders
SPURIOUS INCREASES IN ENZYME RESULTS CAN OCCUR DUE TO THE PRESENCE OF MACRO ENZYMES (E.G. MACRO AST, MACRO ALT, MACRO GGT). RESULTS SHOULD BE CORRELATED WITH CLINICAL FINDINGS.
