Metal free tube i.e. Royal blue-top (EDTA) tube or royal blue-top without EDTA. Separate plasma/ serum within 2 hours of collection and keep at ambient/ refrigerated/ frozen temperature.
Contrast interference is known to occur therefore specimens should be collected before contrast administration or >96 hours post contrast administration.
