2ml Body fluid like pleural, ascitic, peritoneal, synovial, CSF in a sterile, plain, leak-proof container (no additives). NB: Avoid preservatives and contamination
Clearly label fluid type and collection site
A separate aliquot may be needed if multiple tests are ordered
Test components: LDH, GLUCOSE, PROTEINS.
