Serum in plain tube (red top) or SST tube (yellow top) or in a separation vial. Centrifuge tubes within 1 hour. Separate centrifuged serum in plain tubes within 1 hour. When the order simply states vitamin D, select 25-hydroxyvitamin D (C1014) instead of 1,25 dihydroxyvitamin D (C1015).
