Test Requirements
Pregnant women only eligible; Fasting for at least 8 hours required; collect BASELINE (FASTING) sample; load adults with 82.5g glucose monohydrate (=75g anhydrous glucose). Collect other samples at ONE and TWO HOURS POST LOAD unless otherwise specified by the doctor. Sample labels must include time of collection (e.g. 0min, 1hr, 2hr). Urine samples are NOT routinely collected.
Clinical Utility
Screening and diagnosis of prediabetes and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). Pregnant women only.
