Test Requirements
Fasting for at least 8 hours required; collect BASELINE (FASTING) sample; load adults with 82.5g glucose monohydrate (=75g anhydrous glucose). Collect another sample at TWO HOURS only POST LOAD unless otherwise specified by the doctor. Sample labels must include time of collection (e.g. 0min, 2hr). Urine samples are NOT routinely collected. Different collection sequence applies for pregnant women and they should be registered under 75g OGTT, gestational.
