Cleanse collection site with NON-ALCOHOLIC disinfectant e.g. povidone iodine. Do NOT use spirit / isopropanol which is an alcoholic agent.
Use SST tube, allow to clot and centrifuge within 1-2 hours of collection; do NOT open / uncap tube / aliquot (analyte is volatile)
