Test Requirements

Formalin fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissue with at least 20 percent tumor burden. The site of biopsy, clinical history, contact details of the attending doctor and original H&E report are MANDATORY. For AML cases, bone marrow or peripheral blood in EDTA (refrigerated) may be submitted for analysis. Clinical details including PBF/ bone marrow report and contact details of the attending doctor are MANDATORY.

Clinical Utility

IDH1 and IDH2 mutation status may be useful for diagnosis, prognosis, and determination of eligibility for targeted therapy in certain solid tumors, including central nervous system tumors (e.g. gliomas), acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and cholangiocarcinoma.
