Test Requirements
Serum in plain tube (red top) or SST tube (yellow top) or in a separation vial. Centrifuge tubes within 1 hour. Separate centrifuged serum in plain tubes within 1 hour.
Test components: ALT, AST, ALP, GGT, total bilirubin, direct bilirubin, indirect bilirubin, total protein, albumin, globulin, A/G ratio
Clinical Utility
Evaluating for liver injury or hepatobiliary disease. May also be performed as part of health & wellness assessments.
